Southwest Veterinary refused to see my very sick 11-year-old female dog, stating they only accept “referrals” from existing clients. On top of that, even with a “referral”, the wait is several weeks. This policy was never communicated upfront and leaves sick animals without care. As a community member in the Southwest area, I find this policy exclusionary, unhelpful, and disturbing. When I asked for the doctor’s name to file a formal complaint, the lady hung up the phone, which is unprofessional. This conduct warrants a formal review by the New Mexico Veterinary Medical Board. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking urgent care for their pet.

The staff is always helpful. I don't remember the vets name, but he was great. Didn't try to rush my dog. Who really hates the vet. The tech that helped, you were amazing. Thank you. I always recommend your office. Dr. Romero was very sweet.

I had to take my dummy little kitty in for eating some rubber bands and I could not be more grateful for the services here. I worked with Dr. Hafis and he was so gentle and straightforward with treatment and explained everything!! This is my favorite and safest veterinary clinic!

My little scruffy dog rainy has been known to be a bit difficult at the vets but Dr. Romero was so sweet to her and put her at ease, love this place
