I brought my healthy one year old puppy in to be spayed. What should have been a routine procedure turned into a nightmare because they dropped her and never told me. Three days later, when she was still in pain, I brought her back in. Only then did they admit what happened. By that point, her achilles tendon had been severed. She had to undergo major orthopedic surgery and start doggy physical therapy just to have a chance at normal function again.
Because of their negligence, my puppy’s life and mine were completely disrupted. She had to be kept in a kennel and sedated during recovery. She couldn’t go to the park or play. I had to take her outside using a special harness to keep weight off her leg. She had to be isolated from her family so she wouldn’t get excited and reinjure herself. I missed work and rearranged my entire life to care for her. She now has permanent hardware in her ankle, and I’m worried about the long-term consequences.
When I called to ask about them covering the physical therapy, they actually mixed me up with another patient. They had also dropped a different dog and were paying its vet bills as well. That means this is not an isolated incident. There is a pattern here.
Yes, they paid for the surgery and rehab, as they should, but that doesn’t erase the fact that they dropped my dog, hid it from me, and let her suffer for days before telling the truth. This wasn’t an accident. This was negligence, made worse by the lack of immediate disclosure.
My dog’s life is permanently altered because of what happened here. People deserve to know the full story before trusting this clinic with their beloved pets.
Short Story
we adopted, we take our dog here, we ask for Simparica Trio. they did not wanted to sell one pill they want to sell 6 month treatment, even we told them, we prefer to come every month than spending right now the thing for the six months. well we found that is cheaper in tractor supply, in the format you put name of the pet, owners, and phones well first time they did not "recognize it" we called, we explained, they said to sent again the request, we sent it again, they did not approved it again, we called and they just said sorry for the confusion, but they never say that they will approve it, I blame on them if our dog in our trip to Colorado gets a disease related to ticks or mosquitoes transmitted. more than 2 weeks for approval of a dog's pill it is ridiculous.
Took our young man Toby here the whole time we lived in Albuquerque. The staff is very caring, they seemed to love our boy as much as we did. Any time we were worried about him they would work with us in getting him in and provided a lot of information for us, whatever happened to be going on. The only reason we don't go here any more is because we moved :)
Do not bring your pets here. My puppy was dropped while being spayed, and they failed to inform me. They sent her home with pain medication for the surgery, which I now realize was used to mask the injury. After three days, I noticed she was still in significant pain and walking strangely. It turns out her Achilles tendon was severed and required major surgery. If this had been an honest accident, they would have told me immediately. Instead, they intentionally hid her pain to cover their tracks. This was a display of complete negligence and a total lack of transparency.
Great service today, take your pet for their needs and get some medical attention if need be. L Tindall, did an outstanding job in explaining and helping out pitty.
