Everyone from the receptionist to the vet tech and Dr. Candace Auten were above and beyond supportive, listened, and responded in a way that we were able to fully understand and embrace the treatment and future of our fur baby! If you ever encounter eye problems with your pet, the Eye Care for Animals in Albuquerque is your place to go! Update: After several more visits, this review is consistent and hasn’t changed our experience. If anything, we can only reemphasize the amazing people at Eye Care for Animals in Albuquerque and Dr. Candice Auten is amazing!

Dr.. Auten and the entire staff were very friendly and professional. Each test was carefully explained as were the results. Options for treatment were also explained so we could make an informed decision in making a choice.

06/05/2026 We took our Shihpoo in for a second opinion regarding his eye issues, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The customer service was phenomenal, and the veterinarian and technician took the time to thoroughly examine our puppy without making us feel rushed. Everything was explained in great detail, and all of our questions were answered. We truly appreciated the professionalism, compassion, and expertise shown by the entire staff. I highly recommend this establishment for any of your pet’s eye care needs.

The Doctor was so professional and knowledgeable made me feel much better about my dogs eye problem. She will become my normal eye doctor for Lucius, which is wonderful because I was driving 8 hrs to CSU and now Lucius has an eye doctor in town . I feel Lucius is in great hands and highly recommend Eye care for animals and Dr. Peterson
